Martyr Art is the embodiment of the true artist who would sacrifice him or herself to maintain the utmost respect, integrity, loyalty
and truth to their craft.
Martyr Art was formed by Joseph E. Gagliardi III in New Windsor, NY from the ashes of Dislocate (a band that was founded by
Joseph in Saugerties, NY in 1998). Since 2004, Martyr Art has independently released four albums "Hi.Low.Fi" (2004) "ABCv1"
(2004) "ABCv2" (2006) and "ABCv3" (2009), has performed with established groups such as K.M.F.D.M., created the Official
Martyr Art Podcast Series and (in conjunction with the Podcast Series) the Martyr Art YouTube Video Series. In the remaining months
of 2009 and upcoming 2010, Martyr Art will reach new levels of accomplishments with 3D Live Shows, new music and other very
cool and interesting things.
The sound Martyr Art has is profoundly odd for its need to blend Funk, Punk, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Classical, Synth Pop, Horror,
R & B, Industrial, Metal, Orchestrational, Rock, Pop, Progressive, Tribal, Country, Goth, Techno, World, Avant-Garde and Noise; thus
the genesis of "The Universal Sound". Martyr Art has not only forged a new sound, but a new concept of being. The expanding
catalog takes you on a journey through the colors and textures of sound. On every album, in every song, within every movement,
is a step through the journey of Martyr Art.
